Device compatibility

Lorelio requires an iPhone or iPad with 6GB or more of RAM, running iOS 17 or later. This is because the on-device AI models need sufficient memory to run smoothly.

Compatible devices include:

  • iPhone: iPhone 12 Pro and newer (including all Pro and Pro Max models, iPhone 15 and newer standard models)
  • iPad Air: 4th generation (2020) and newer
  • iPad Pro: All iPad Pro models
  • iPad: 10th generation (2022) and newer
  • iPad mini: 6th generation (2021) and newer

Known limitations

Lorelio's AI runs entirely on your device. The first time you open the app, it needs to download the language model, which requires a Wi-Fi connection and about 2GB of free space. After that, everything works offline.

Other things to keep in mind:

  • Interview sessions work best in a quiet environment. Background noise can affect speech recognition accuracy
  • The app uses one active device at a time for editing. A second device can view your story in read-only mode
  • iCloud sync requires an active internet connection and sufficient iCloud storage
  • Very long sessions (over 30 minutes) may slow down on older compatible devices due to memory constraints
