Lorelio is an iPhone and iPad app that helps you create your life story through guided voice conversations. It asks you thoughtful questions about your life, listens to your answers, and turns your words into beautifully written chapters, complete with a visual timeline and photo integration.

Lorelio works on iPhones and iPads with 6GB or more of RAM, running iOS/iPadOS 17 or later. This includes iPhone 12 Pro and newer, iPad Air (4th generation) and newer, and all iPad Pro models. The on-device AI needs this memory for smooth performance.

Not at all. Lorelio is designed specifically for people who may not be comfortable with technology. The interface uses large text, clear buttons, and simple voice interaction. Lorelio asks questions and you answer. No typing, swiping, or navigating complicated menus required.

No. You can start using Lorelio immediately without creating an account, providing an email address, or signing in. Your story exists only on your device and in your personal iCloud account.

Interviews work fully offline on a single device since all AI processing happens locally. The first time you open the app, you'll need a Wi-Fi connection to download the language model (about 2GB). After that, an internet connection is only required for iCloud sync between devices and sharing your life story.

Yes, completely. Every part of the AI, including speech recognition, interview question generation, and prose writing, runs entirely on your device. Your voice recordings, transcripts, photos, and story content are never sent to any server. We don't have access to your stories, and neither does anyone else.

Every other life story and memoir app sends your voice recordings and personal stories to cloud servers for AI processing. Lorelio is the only app that processes everything on-device. Your deepest memories are never sent to any company's servers. This isn't just a feature. It's the foundation of how Lorelio is built.

Since all data is stored locally on your device, deleting the app removes all your local content. We strongly recommend saving or sharing your life story before uninstalling. Your data will also remain in your iCloud account until you choose to delete it there.

We collect anonymous, privacy-preserving usage analytics (such as which features are used most) to improve the app, and anonymous crash reports to fix bugs. Our analytics use double-hashing so individual users cannot be identified. We never collect, transmit, or have access to your story content, voice recordings, photos, or any personal information within your stories.

Yes. The free tier includes 2 interview sessions with 5 exchanges each, up to 5 photo uploads, full export, and the timeline view. All AI processing is available at full quality. We don't limit the AI in the free tier.

Upgrade options are available directly within the app through the App Store. Pricing and plans are shown in the app and may vary by region.

Yes! Lorelio is free to download, so your parent or grandparent can get it directly from the App Store. If you'd like to gift them the premium experience, you can purchase an Apple Gift Card for the amount of the lifetime unlock and send it along with a note to download Lorelio. Hardcover book printing is on our roadmap. In the meantime, you can export your life story as a professionally formatted PDF, ready for any print shop or online printing service.

Lorelio guides you through your life story with thoughtful questions. It starts by asking about your early life, and based on what you share, it asks deeper followups about people you mention, places you describe, and experiences you hint at. You share as much or as little as you'd like, and the AI remembers everything across sessions to build a coherent story.

There are two ways to have a conversation. Hands-free mode speaks every question aloud and listens for your answer, perfect for walks, cooking, or sitting in your favorite chair. Guided mode shows questions as text and lets you tap the microphone when you're ready to respond. You choose the voice too, from a warm British narrator to a familiar Indian accent, and can switch modes anytime in Settings.

Not at all. In hands-free mode, Lorelio speaks every question aloud and listens for your answer through your AirPods or any Bluetooth headset. You can go for a walk, sit in the garden, or cook dinner while telling your story. Guided mode is there when you prefer to read the questions on screen and tap the microphone when you're ready.

That's entirely up to you. Some people create a rich life story in a few weeks of regular 15–20 minute sessions. Others enjoy a slower pace, adding stories over months. There are no deadlines or expiration dates. Just your story, told at your own pace.

Life stories naturally include difficult chapters: loss, hardship, regret. You're always in control of the conversation. You can pause, skip a question, or change the subject anytime. If the conversation touches on something hard, Lorelio will gently check in and follow your lead. Your comfort always comes first.

Yes. Lorelio writes your story based on your spoken words, but you have full control over the final text. You can edit any passage, rearrange chapters, and refine the story to make sure it sounds exactly like you.

Absolutely. You can add photos, scanned certificates, newspaper clippings, old letters, any image from your camera roll. Lorelio uses the dates, locations, and context from these images to ask you deeper questions about specific memories. It can even read text in old documents and letters. Your photos are woven into your story alongside the written narrative.

You can share your life story as a beautifully formatted PDF directly via Messages, Mail, or AirDrop, all included free. The PDF is ready for printing at any print shop.
